Installing Bifold Pantry Doors

Bifold pantry doors – Bi-fold doors are used inside a home or other building where a standard hinged door may not have enough room to fully open, such as a closet. A hinged door that is equal to the width of a standard door. That will only protrude into the middle room as much as the standard door. This is because bi-fold doors are divided vertically in the center and with hinges, creating two panels. When opened, folds the door against itself and slides over a track. That mounted in the opening of the door. Installing a bi-fold door should take about an hour.

Measure 1 1/4 inches from the top left edge of the left panel of the bifold pantry doors and make a mark in the center of the door thickness with a pencil. Drill a 7/16 inch diameter hole using a drill over the pencil mark 2 inches deep. Repeat this procedure for the lower left edge of the left panel. Insert the top and bottom of the hardware pivot included with the double door kit into the holes drill in step 1 until they fully seated.

Measure 7/8 inch from the upper right edge of the right panel of bifold pantry doors and make a mark in the center of the door thickness with a pencil. Drill a 7/16 inch diameter hole using a drill over the pencil mark 2 inches deep. Insert the top guide roller included with the double door kit into the hole drilled in step 3 until it fully seated. Mount the top roller track in the center of the thickness of the top of the door opening.  Place the “L” in the form of a jamb bracket on the left side of the door opening. That until it rests on the floor and in the center of the door jamb thickness.

Grasp the door assembly with both hands and align the lower left pivot on the jamb bracket. Lower the door so that the pivot rests against the hole in the bottom of the bracket. Now lift the upper left pivot to its position in the hole provided in the upper roller lane assembly. Push the spring roller guide down the top right of the door and place it under the roller track. Release the roller guide. Install the door alignment plates and the knob into the mounting holes provided in the door. Do it with the screws tightened with a Phillips screwdriver. Check the operation of the bifold pantry doors.
