Philips Led Lighting, one consumer Electronics Company based in the Netherlands, has a wide range of bulbs that are aimed at helping consumers to maintain a more energy efficient home. The energy saving lamps Philips lighting led is based on three different technologies: compact fluorescent lamps, light emitting diodes (LED, for its acronym in English) and halogen lamps.
According to Philips, compared to traditional incandescent bulbs, Philips light bulbs use less energy to create the same amount of light. They also last longer and do not require replacement as often. These benefits translate into savings of energy costs for consumers and less carbon emissions in the environment.
Light emitting diodes (LED, for its acronym in English) are the products more energy efficient lighting market. A 3-watt LED bulb can replace a 25 watt incandescent bulb and use only one eighth of the energy to produce the same amount of light. Philips lighting led bulbs can last up to 25 years instead of just one year for a typical incandescent bulb.
Although energy saving bulbs from Philips is more expensive than traditional bulbs, but that difference can be compensated after only 18 months of energy bill savings and these savings continue throughout the life of the Philips lighting led bulb, which can be up to 25 years.
