If you’ve ever had toddlers, you know they love to open the cabinets and pull out what they find inside. This can be a problem if the contents of a cabinet door locks are heavy or fragile, or contain potentially hazardous chemicals, such as those found in some household cleaners. Installing childproof locks or locks can help keep your care free and at the same time let your child explore their heart content.

Sliding child cabinet door locks is best for cabinets with two doors that open outwards and have door handles close to each other in the center. For a door locker, a barrier is a better choice. If you do not want to screw anything in your cabinet, choose a device that laps over the door handle or attaches with glue.

Install a sliding child lock

To install a sliding cabinet door locks with two loops, simply place the device loops over each cabinet steering wheel. Tighten the plastic loops over the twist by pushing the lock upwards. If sliding locker locks are a continuous loop, place it over both the cabinet knobs and move the lock to the ridge to tighten it. Once you have made the lock as hard as possible, try opening the cabinet. If you can only open it half an inch or so, the childproofing device is properly installed. To open a cabinet door locks with two loops, press the center of the lock while pushing the lock at the bottom of the body of the lock, in the center. Pull the body apart: it will split in the middle, allowing you to open the cabinet while leaving the loops on the steering wheel. To open a loop cabinet lock, press the buttons on both sides of the lock and slide it away from the twist.

To remove a left two-loop lock completely, pull the latch on the right side of the lock body, close to the top. Slide the body of the lock down the plastic strap, which will widen the loop and let you take the loop of the steering wheel. To remove a right two-loop lock, repeat this step, but pull the lock on the left side of the locked body instead. To remove a loop lock, simply open it, as described in Step 2, and lift away the anger. Install a childproof locker. Put one of the self-adhesive cushions that came with the latch on the back of the hook or the long part of the latch, and one on the back of the “eye” or short section in which the hook fits. Stick the hook cabinet door locks so that the back is flat against the door and the hook extends into the cabinet: it should extend up and down in a shape that looks like a half T.
