Purchase a spring in a hardware that is tightly screwed tightly into the slightly larger trees of the two metal shafts. This must be a strong spring since so much pressure has been exerted to give perfect curtain tension rod to hang the bar. Find two plastic or rubber covers that fit on each end of the bars. A rubber stopper is a little better choice than plastic because it simply spreads into the cracking of the wall for better grip.

Mount your best curtain tension rod by attaching the rubber or plastic plugs to one end of the metal shafts. Slide the spring down onto the larger of the two metal shafts. Insert the other metal shaft into the open end of the main shaft against the spring. Hold the draw bar in the hand at the intersection of the two shafts. Place one end of the tension rod about 1 inch back from where you want to end it. Slide or pull the other end of the rod when you are working in place. The more the two ends reach the correct point, the higher the tension in the bar. Hang your curtains, curtains, or attach decorative handkerchiefs to the tie bar, and you’re done.
